Sierra Council Members and Friends, plan to gather around noon on Saturday, May 7, in the Alpine Meadows Subway parking lot for our annual picnic, awards, and election of officers.

NOTE: This is a change from the tentative date previously announced.

A number of our skiers have purchased the Alpine Spring Pass, and the resort will be open for skiing until 5/15 (Fri-Sun only after 4/24 –Easter). More info to come, but plan on bringing a side dish or dessert, your preferred beverage AND a chair.

The Council will provide burgers (beef, turkey, veggie), hot dogs, buns, condiments, serving ware. This is always a fun occasion, and last year we broke our four-year streak of horrible weather (snow, wind, rain – take your pick) and a sunny, enjoyable day. Let’s hope for good weather this year.

Please consider volunteering to run for office and for nominating someone for a council award. There are several categories (see list of Awards and info on page 5) for which I’m sure you can think of a deserving person. Fun awards are encouraged.
