SIERRA LEAGUE IS ...

Adult ski racing for all ability levels, from beginner to expert. The fastest way to improve your skiing. Fun! And, a great way to meet new people who enjoy skiing.

Sierra league racers are all ability levels, ages 18 to 121. Kids are also welcome with participating adults. Kids accompanied by a racing family member race free. Additional kids with the family are $10 per race. We have 10 ability levels with two age groups in each level. There is a place for everyone. What Sierra League racers have in common is an interest in improving their skiing while having fun in a competitive environment. Racers ski slalom and giant slalom formats, against skiers in their same age and ability group. Even a beginner can win a gold medal in the Sierra League.

HOW DO I JOIN?

​You are automatically a member of Sierra League if you are a member of one of our affiliated clubs. The clubs and contacts are on the Contact page. You can also join as a direct member of Sierra League & Council ($10 annual membership fee). 

To sign up you can send your application, signed waiver and check to Corey Doolin, Sierra VP and Membership Chair, at the address on the membership form. You can also bring your application and payment to the registration location on any race day. You can also pay via PayPal using the link on the Races page; however, Corey will need to get your registration form/waiver. Download and print the membership application and waiver from the link below:  .​

RACE FEES

There are two ways to pay for your racing in Sierra League. You can purchase a seasons ski racing pass for $150 which covers the entire regular season and includes the Gatekeeping fee. 
Or, you can pay on a race-by-race basis at $40 per race. There is also the option to pay the Race Fees online within the Races Navigation Tab. 

​​Discounted lift tickets are negotiated for Sierra League members on race day, another benefit of coming out to ski and race with us

TRAVEL

Each year Sierra League travels out of the Tahoe Basin for a ski week trip. In the recent past we have traveled to Sun Valley, Banff/Lake Louise, Breckenridge, Whistler, and several ski destinations in Europe. The 2027 ski week is at Big Sky, Montana.
